This home had great bones and is a fantastic showcase for what can be done to renew a space without major structural changes. Our clients wanted a fresh look for the interior of their new home before moving in and had a short timeline within which they wanted to complete their renovation. We started work on this project the day our clients took possession, and by working on updating and improving existing pieces, we were able to infuse our refreshed design into the entire home within the timeline. In the kitchen, we refinished and added to the cabinetry to create ceiling height, crisp white millwork. A contrasting island, new calacatta marble backsplash, and quartz countertops completed the kitchen’s elegant update. Small changes brought new life to the ensuite bathroom—the space was completely transformed by refinishing the existing millwork, adding warm tile, and turning the fireplace into a statement piece. The warm renew of the design was carried throughout the home with contemporary hardwood and carpet. Working with what the home already offered and the clients’ sophisticated style, we were able to deliver a complete aesthetic renovation that met their budget and timeline.
We renovated with Lynn Donaldson in 2013; in three months, they did a complete face-lift of our main and upper floors. On our possession date at noon, they were there at the door ready to get started. The Lynn Donaldson team was extremely professional, knowledgable and efficient. We booked our renovation a week before the flood occurred and we were very concerned that this would impact our renovation because of the increasing demand for tradespeople and materials; in fact, the tradespeople who work for Lynn Donaldson were very dedicated to the company, skilled, and on schedule. We moved into our basically “brand new”home on time and we are very pleased with the quality of the work that was done.
Neil Bailey, who coordinated the project, was very professional and patient. He insured that everything was on schedule. Daryl Bailey was frequently at our site, overseeing the work and making sure everything was going well. Kate Foggin made sure all the materials were ordered and on site when expected. She was extremely thorough for our final walk-through and made sure everything was perfect. Lindsey Tsang was very helpful and her excellent taste and attention to detail helped us to create a very beautiful home. Rob, the primary tradesperson and carpenter on the project was excellent: Very hard-working, professional and made sure everything was top quality.
