Richmond – Main House
Previously designed to host a single home, this parcel of land was transformed into a beautiful and functional multiple dwelling plot for an extended family unit. When presented with the idea of building two homes where once was one, these close-knit sisters and their respective family members jumped at the chance to move forward with the project. The Main House was dreamt up as a three-level, combined custom and IKEA cabinetry interior, complete with three bedrooms, four bathrooms, multiple living spaces, a home gym and office, and an open concept kitchen and dining space at its heart.
SIZE – 2096 Sq.Ft
AREA – New Custom Build
A modern black and white palette was infused with warmth through the incorporation of Scandinavian-style wood tones (both interior and exterior) and textural details such as the strategically placed shiplap wall paneling. Certain in their sense of style and love of all things modern, the client was thrilled to be involved in every step of the process, including in the selection of their own finishing touches (fixtures and furnishings). Fixtures composed of black, brass, and natural wood accents, plus modern shaped and finished tiles laid in traditional patterns served to further the sense of “old meets new” and “warm meets cool” throughout all levels of the house.
