What does a backyard suite cost in Calgary?
A backyard suite is a complete small home. It needs a foundation, utilities, heating, a kitchen, bathroom, living space and all of the systems and finishes you would expect in a primary residence.

Incentives and financing
There may be programs available that can help offset part of the cost of building a backyard suite.
The City of Calgary currently offers a Backyard Suite Incentive Program for eligible projects, with funding available toward certain construction and infrastructure costs. Financing options may also be available through your lender based on your property and the value created by the new suite.
